Blog Ideas

Here is a another idea with guaranteed success: a celebrity blog. Yes, there is a ton of competition but I can show you how to make this blog successful. However, you have to enjoy writing about celebrities. This is where I felt short, I really don’t care at all about celebrities and stopped writing about them because I really did not enjoy it. However, I was blogging about them for 2 months and quickly hit 1000 unique eyeballs per day and on some days, even 2000. That is not bad for just a 2 month old domain, so I am pretty sure that if you keep it going, you can make good money. But, you do need a strategy.

First you need good Search Engine Optimization and secondly you need to know who and what to write about, writing articles about any top celebrity is not really going to get you anywhere. You need to go after new popular celebrities and one way to do this is to browse Google Trends daily and see the hot searches of the day. When you can connect the search to some celebrity, write a quick article on it. For example, here are some current hot searches:

  • fred honsberger
  • regina king
  • tiger woods latest girlfriend
  • theresa rogers photos
  • melissa rycroft wedding photos
  • tony romo engaged
  • anderson cooper
  • victoria rowell
  • dina parr
  • alina kabaeva
  • gloria vanderbilt
  • ben bernanke

The great thing about this niche is that people love to read about celebrities. Out of 40 hot searches at any given moment, one third of them are usually celebrities. All you have to do is quickly glance and find out why the celebrity made it on the trends list and then write a quick article about it.

On top of that, you should be on top of all the celebrity news from other celebrity blogs like omg!, TMZ, and PerezHilton. As soon as they talk about something, you can also write an article about it with different content. You could create celebrity alerts on Google Alerts and you could even search Twitter for any recent news. Finally, watching TV helps too and if you can carve out a nieche out of the celebrity space that would be really good, for example, Reality TV Celebrities.

Your articles do not need to be long but they need to be original, they should include pictures and things that people would want to see. You should include links to the celebrity MySpace and FaceBook profiles as well as any information you gather from researching their names on Google and places like Wikipedia. If you can write at least three articles per day, I guarantee that in a month, your traffic will start to really pick up. I did it and it worked for me, but I hate writing about celebs, and you should always pursue something that you enjoy.
